Mr. DiamelasThanasis (Sakis), a third-generation butcher, is the person that is at the wheel of the business. He still remembers with nostalgia the years that he used to watch as a child his grandfather and later his father working at the butcher shop of the village and servicing the small community of Drymos, Thessaloniki and the other villages around. He still looks back in those days and searches for the source of romance that led him down the same paths. When the other children were dreaming to be astronauts, firemen and football players, Sakis had only one thing in his mind: to become a butcher! And even if this for the rest of us looks like a childish naivety, for Sakis was the fulfillment of a destiny. After all, the sounds, the images and the smells became experiences and all these turned into practice and an inspired everyday life.

A lot of things have changed from the beginning and through the years we have changed too. The only thing that remains the same and unchangeable through the time is our love for what we do and the passion for our work. The reason is because it doesn’t concern just a job, but something else that charges our emotional batteries all day long. People say “make your hobby a profession and you don’t have work for the rest of your life”. We follow that saying from the early morning hours when we open our store till the late hours when fatigue comes to embrace satisfaction.
